Earlier this season, Frank Campanelli decided it was time to spice up the member/guest day at The Briars Golf Club. Snuggled next to the south end of Lake Simcoe, less than an hour's drive from Toronto, the club teased golfers with a $100,000 tax-free prize for players who could make a hole-in-one from the designated spot. Six players qualified to play for the big bucks, including John Kubina, who used a borrowed five-iron to jar a 165 yard shot and collect the six-figure cheque.



At home in Amsterdam's Red Light District



My husband and I stood uncertainly on the front step of a tall, 17th-century canal house in Amsterdam's infamous Red Light District. We'd never done anything like this before, and we weren't at all sure how it was going to turn out. We'd even come up with a signal we could use if one of us was ready to go home. We took a deep breath and rang the doorbell.
