Link Units

What distinguishes Link Ad Units by Units is at the user clicks on these ads, so it will be directed on search results pages in Google's search engine. Alternate Ads

In the AdSense for Content, advertising does not always appear. Why, among others, could be because it's advertising inventory relating to the contents of the site is up or Google can not predict what the actual site. If this happens, by default, which is displayed is the public service ads or commonly known as PSA (Public Service Ads). Because type of donations, so if clicked, this ad does not produce anything for the publisher. To overcome this, Google allows us to install the Alternate Ads or alternate ad. If Ad Units are made has been set by using the Alternate Ads, so if Ad Units can not be performed, which appears is the alternative ads that have been arranged earlier.

Generally, publishers will give the name of Channels on the same ad units on one site. If you want more details, okay to give a different Channels in each ad unit at each site. Remember, the maximum number of Channels allowed currently are 200 channels.

For example, publishers who produce 50 000 to USD 200 from impressi will have the CPM value of USD 4 (USD 200 divided by 50).

* With the intent to encourage site visitors to click on ads shown, for example with the words "click the ads" or "visit this page"

* Change the shape and size of ad units that have been determined Google

* Create a direct link to the page of search results AdSense for search

* Fill out automatically AdSense search box with a certain keyword

* Manipulate target ads with keywords or with hidden IFRAME

* Eliminate the outline of the ad units and color matching the background with the background color so that the web page ad units appear to blend with the content of this page

Google Adsense is a great tool for generating extra income for your church or ministry. It’s very easy to set up Google Adsense. You must first create an account and select a username and password. You will be required to enter your tax exempt numbers and other personal information, so have them ready.

Once your account is set up, decide what type of ads you want on your site, generate the code, and then copy and paste the code into your web page. Once the code is on your site, Google begins to generate relevant ads based upon your site’s content. I have been amazed at the accuracy of their choices. After that, when someone clicks on one of the ads, you make money.

Here are a few things that will help you get the most out of Google Adsense:

Ad placement. Where you place your ads is very important. Through trial and error we have found the best performer for us is a 160×600 vertical banner. We place it on the left side right below our navigation links. The second best performer is a 468×15 horizontal keyword ad. We place it at the top of the page right under our logo.

Ad format. The type of ad you choose will make a big difference in your performance. I use only text ads. I have tried image ads but they do very poorly on our site. You should experiment with different ad types because each site is different. For some sites using a combination of text and image ads works well. Google has a feature that allows you to create custom channels for each ad so you can track its performance.

Ad color. I have found that making the ads blend into our site as much as possible produces the best results. Google makes it easy to select colors for your ads. I use a white background with a white border and the title and URL are the same color as my navigation links. They don’t really look like ads, but additional links on our site.

Ad density. You are only allowed to have up to three ad units per page. We have two on every page and use an additional one on some pages. Often Google will only show one or two of the ad units at a time. You have the option of choosing either public service ads, or an alternate URL which will show the page of your choice during those times when the Google ads are not available.

Program performance. Google makes it easy to keep track of your site’s performance by showing how many clicks you have received and how many ad impressions have been shown. In the beginning a click-thru-ratio (CTR) over 3% is considered good. The amount of money you make is directly related to the number of visitors you have and how often they click.

Adsense for search. This is a great feature that allows your visitors to search for content either on your site, on the web, or a combination of the two. The landing page that is produced as a result of their search is full of relevant ads that will generate income if your visitor clicks on them.

Experiment with Adsense. If one type of ad doesn’t perform well, replace it with another. Once you have Adsense in place, Google does all of the work for you. Give it a try – you really have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Webmasters who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so. If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the “geniuses” of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.

Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings.

1. Concentrating on one format of Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

2. Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, This will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.

5. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.
These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.

Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too.

Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.

Hi all,

I was looking over my income at Triond and it continues to impress me how it is slowly growing even though I only add an article there every now and then.  I've been writing for Triond since 2008 (read my review of Triond here) and didn't really give it a lot of thought or attention since I made much more money at Constant-Content and other writing sites.  Triond was just one of those sites where I earned a few extra dollars a month for very few articles.  Then, a while back, Triond added Google Adsense earnings in addition to the monthly earnings.  After a couple of months of receiving Google Adsense earnings through Triond, I started looking at the site as having serious income earning potential.

My Earnings at Triond

When Triond added Google Adsense (paid through your Google account, the other income at Triond is paid to you through PayPal monthly), my income at Triond doubled.  I only have 33 articles at Triond but the pay began to add up.  Two of my articles have done really well there - one has earned $61.81 in the time it has been on the site - and the others have earned a few dollars here and there. But what surprised me most is that the earnings - not including Adsense - are approximately $2.50 per 1,000 views.  While not a fortune, it is much higher than Associated Content pays even if you are in the upper ranks there.

All of my articles on Triond are published on other writing sites as well, so they are doing double (earning) duty for me.  I don't spend time writing articles just for Triond, so my earnings are basically just for the time I spend loading the article.  Yet, even though the articles are seconds, I still do pretty good with them there.  I'm sure if I put only original content on Triond and didn't place it anywhere else, I would probably earn even more there.

The One Snag about Writing for Triond

At Triond, you have to post your article there FIRST before you are able to post it on any other site.  Sometimes it can take a day or two for the article to pass through the editorial process - sometimes it goes through right away.  It depends upon how busy the site is.  Once the article is posted on Triond, you are free to post it on any other site that allows reprints.  You always own all rights to any article you post on Triond.

Writing for Triond

You do not have to apply and be accepted in order to write for Triond. You simply sign up and start submitting. They do Copyscape every article before it is posted to make sure it is original, then it is posted on the site.  Triond has a large array of topics you can write under, so you can pretty much write about anything there.  Triond pays monthly through PayPal and you must have a Google Adsense account if you want to earn Adsense money.

If you are looking for another writing site to increase your freelance earnings, I would recommend trying Triond.  You won't get rich, but you will earn some extra money.

Happy Writing,
Deanna

Effective cost per thousand impressions (eCPM) is a familiar term
for Google Adsense users. I am a Adsense user and started making a nice
amount of money by using it on my blog. In last few months, I had seen
some drop in the eCPM value for my Google Channels. After analyzing the
details, I found some of the ways to increase the eCPM value to double
the revenue from Google Adsense program.

1) Properly locate the Google Ads

As we know that eCPM is the effective cost  per thousand
impressions which means, if the ad impression happened for 80,000 times
and you got a revenue of $250 from that in that case the eCPM is 250 /
80 = $3.12. With the simple mathematics it is clear that eCPM is
directly proportional to the revenue and inversely proportional to the
ad impression.

eCPM
For generating a good revenue from google ads, you will have to put the
ads at proper location which is also known as the best part of your
blog post. Try to put a text ad of 300 x 250 at the start of the post
or end.

2) Increase the Page CTR

When someone clicks on the ads placed on your blog, you will get
money out of that. Money means revenue which is directly proportional
to eCPM. Now use different types of ads like text, image, video on your
blog and place the ads in between the post.

3) Use effective formats of Ads

The formats we’ve found to be the most effective are the 336×280 Large Rectangle, the 300×250 Medium Rectangle, and the 160×600 Wide Skyscraper. Try to use text ads because they serve more options to the viewer and they are very much relevant to the site.

Well yes! the correct answer is ofcourse 'adsense'. The search word for most of people out there, is basically "Google Adsense". Yet, I was doing this keyword research and for sake of fun typed this word "addsense". I was shocked to see the results, though scanty in search, but still it was there. There were still people out there searching for "addsence", instead of "adsense". And, the average CPC was also much more than usual average CPC. I don't know who are willing to pay for the wrong spelling of "addsence". In my view, there might be some newbie and amateur advertising agencies coming up in the market who want them to be called addsense. In fact, if we see it all this way, it really adds some sense to this weird addsense spelling.

People who don't know much about adsense, may make spelling mistakes like placing "adsence" or "addsence" in their search. With "Google adsense" being such a prominent and blog grabber scheme, with millions or probably billions of website running on this term, there is no point for anyone to begin their "adsense" website, compete with the existing master or even think of coming somewhere in the initial search pages of Google.

Anyways, I searched for both "adsence" and "addsence", I got no results so far. Google's master search corrected the spelling and directed me to the top "Adsense" pages only. So, I guess either google's keyword search tool is wrong or I still have to learn loads about it. :)

I have created a blog and added adsense. However the Ads displayed by Adsense are about blogs and not related to the content of my site. How can I make Adsense display related Ads?

Remove Adsense Ads about blogs?
There is nothing you can do about the type of ads delivered.

That is dependent on the content in your blog.

See if this helps in any way

site value - adsense  - Cancer

There are quite a lot of people who do not know what eCPM is. Below is the Adsense Report for illustration purpose:

Page impressions Clicks Page CTR Page eCPM Earnings

50 2 4.00% $6.60 $0.33

These numbers are calculated as follows:

Page Impressions (50)

This is simply a count of the number of times adverts have been displayed on your page. It includes occasions when your page has been displayed in search engine caches, so the count may not match your log files exactly. It counts pages not ads - if you had more ad units, link units or referral units on the page, then the page impressions would still be 50.

Clicks (2)

This is simply a count of the number of times that any advert has been clicked on the page - ie: 2 clicks.

Page CTR (4.00%)

This is a derived number: "Click Through Rate". There are often many different ways of calculating derived numbers, but in this example it is most easily and accurately produced using the calculation:
CTR = 100 x Clicks / Page ImpressionsIn this case the calculation is:
CTR = 100 x 2 / 50 = 4.00%This the rate of clicks per hundred, a figure often used for comparing performance of different ad placements on a page.

eCPM ($6.60)

This is another derived number: "effective Cost Per Thousand" (M is the latin symbol for a thousand). It is often used for comparing ad placements and overall performance of ads or pages. It is calculated using the formula:
eCPM = 1000 x Earnings / ImpressionsIn this case, the calculation is:
eCPM = 1000 x $0.33 / 50 = $6.60

Earnings ($0.33)

This is the amount of money that you will be paid by Google, at some point in the future, for the clicks. The calculation is:
(The sum of all the click values) x (Your percentage rate)Your percentage rate is only known to Google, but as we have assumed a 70% payment to you, the calculation is:
Earnings = ($0.34 + $0.13) x ( 70 / 100 ) = $0.329 ($0.329 is rounded to two decimal places in the report, to $0.33)
