I watched Anderson Cooper's recent CNN interviews with both Texas State Representative Debbie Riddle and Texas Congressman Louis Golmert about the newly hatched 'terror baby' plot both Texas civil servants say is becoming a vast growing concern in this country.

When Anderson pressed both of them for evidence; evidence they reportedly said was provided to them by a former FBI agent, they were unable to do so.

Okay, that's what you'd expect from a media interview these days, right? A rapid question and quick answer and then move onto the commercial...

Well, we got something else - something that's priceless in my book. We got a reporter who kept coming back to the central concern: where's the proof of the plot? Whose got evidence that supports the claim that pregnant Muslim extremists are coming to this country to give birth to children who by law become American citizens. These same citizens will be programmed to return here in their early adult years to be suicide bombers.

That's the claim.... but where's the beef? That's the question Anderson asked repeatedly.

Rep. Debbie Riddle finally gave an answer; that her evidence was still being gathered and that she wasn't at liberty to reveal her sources. Okay, it's a weak answer but it's an answer that really says the charges are being made well in advance of the evidence.

Congressman Golmert had a different response. He tried to turn the question back onto Anderson and began attacking him.

The gimmick didn't work.

Golmert did not come off in a good light. To see for yourself, visit the CNN video site.

Anderson did his job and he did it well. It's earning him a reputation I hope he keeps deserving. We need people like him to stay on the trail of weak - perhaps even false - assertions that do more harm than they do good.

This also might actually serve the state of Texas well; politicians there have been talking in recent years about succeeding from the union. Well, this might help make that more possible.

Keep up your good work, Anderson. You are doing exactly what the media is best at doing; tracking down the news and insisting on comprehensive coverage.
