squeaker

I've lost my voice and it has been replaced by some weird, high-pitched squeak (click on that link, it's my actual voice!), which Andrew is finding most amusing.  And I keep forgetting that I have no voice, so when I start to engage in conversation, I'm startled a little each time because I'm not expecting to hear a cartoon robot mouse voice.
The doctor says it's a virus, so I just need to rest up and ride it out.  Done.

Above (top photo) is how I'm resting up.  Well, mostly I've been watching Project Runway whilst sipping soup on the couch.  And in between resting up, I've been organising things around the house.  The next thing to take care of is my studio (above).  Right now it's an empty canvass and I can't wait to set it up.  There's going to be a cutting table, a sewing table and a desk for our laptops, plus a packing area.  It's going to be absolute bliss having the space to keep each of those areas separate.

We've also been searching for new furniture because we really want to upgrade pretty much everything.  Fortunately, we've both fallen in love with this bedside table below from Wilkins and Kent.  We're going to get a pair of them and have a matching six drawer tallboy made, along with a bedhead.  Now we just need to find furniture for the living room that we both agree on. While it's sunny outside, I'm going to get off this couch and go do some gardening. We're planting a herb garden soon, got any tips?
